I’m not sure you can really visit Miami without taking a fragment of your time to visit the ‘Wynwood Walls’. It’s taken urban graffiti art to the highest of levels and of all the cities I’ve visited I haven’t seen anything quite like this. Nobody needs to be grand appreciator of modern art to be blown sideways by the vast array of pieces scattered and sprayed all over Wynwood. From the walls, to the sidewalks your eyes won’t know where to look and you’ll be completely spoiled from variety. These quirky streets will keep you entertained for as long as you walk them and no matter how many times you track a particular street, you’re guaranteed to find elements you didn’t see before when you repeat your steps of that same street.
Our time there was dispersed with strong showers and so every half hour or so we’d take shelter in a nearby coffee shop or eatery. Oh, what a shame! This maze of colour and artistic puzzles is an absolute must for anyone wishing to explore something refreshingly different, fun and undoubtedly ‘instagrammable’ from every angle.
These photos are just our particular selection of the favourites we stumbled across. The beauty of the Wynwood Walls is that nobody else’s collection of photos from their visit will be exactly the same as anybody else’s.
I’ll waste no further time or words and let the photos do all of the talking, here we have the Wynwood Art District…
The sweetest little spot for a coffee to shelter from the rain ‘MIAM’
Be honest, would this be just a little over the top if I painted my house this colour…?
I know I know, the resemblance is uncanny, but look that’s actually me on the left…
This photo makes me smile and this man make me smile even harder
Christian “oh hey, pull my finger”
This is a cat on top of an aeroplane in case you were wondering…
