HONEYMOON PART II
I hope you enjoyed my latest travel article on my adventures around Mo’orea (‘Mo’orea, Tahitian Dreams’). As promised here is part 2 of our Tahitian exploration. After leaving Mo’orea we flew to the astounding Bora Bora. A lifelong ambition and I can tell you now, it certainly did not disappoint. Mo’orea was an easy island to explore and lots of opportunities to take part in excursions. However Bora Bora was going to be our time to chill. Our plan was to check in and dial out.
We were lucky enough to stay at the EXQUISITE St Regis Bora Bora. My favourite Rom-Com of all time ‘Couples Retreat‘ was filmed there, and so when we booked it I almost cried with excitement. There was a part of my brain that was prepared for the fact it might not be like the film but I needn’t have worried at all, I get goosebumps just reminiscing about our time there. It certainly took my expectation of pure luxury to a whole new level. Oh, one last thing….believe it or not, the colour of the water has not been tampered with, it really is THAT turquoise!
I’ll now bombard you with photos that describe my experience far better than any words I can try to find. I’ve also edited a little honeymoon video at the end. I’d love to hear your thoughts.
We went for dinner three times at the stunning ‘Lagoon’ Restaurant by Jean-Georges. A phenomenal place to sit, drink and admire the sunset. Oh and eat, a lot, I mean a LOT. Sharks also swim under the floor of the restaurant and I could honestly sit and stare all night. Total admiration for this place.
