It is an absolute dream and delight to be able to sit here and write about my fairytale travels to Tahiti.
I got hitched on 22nd October and the following morning we embarked on our journey of a lifetime. We hadn’t had much sleep and I’d spent approximately 18 minutes attempting to brush out my wedding hair, 50 hair clips later and unfortunately there was no way it was going to budge. I had to prepare for a 30 hour journey with a mat of hair… totally not the demure ‘first day as a wife’ vibe I was going for BUT it was all totally worth it *heart flutter*
So off we went to Tahiti! Our trip was going to be split between two islands, we both chose an island each. My dream was to visit Mo’orea and Christian’s dream was Bora Bora, so we split our time between both. Perfect compromise to start a marriage huh?! Piece of cake. So before I talk about the beauty of Bora Bora, welcome to my post about the stunning island of Mo’orea 🙂
MO’OREA (pronounced Mo-oh-ray-ah)
Even for a girl of many words, I far prefer to tell a story with photos 🙂
Taking the ferry from Papeete to Mo’orea
Welcomed by the fantastic Hilton Moorea Lagoon Resort And Spa
An exquisite array of water bungalows, we were lucky that our little abode was at the very very end of the pontoon. It looked and felt as though there was nobody around at all. Utter bliss…
Every morning we woke up at 6am (initially due to jet lag) mainly because we did’t want to waste a moment of paradise.
Boat ride to swim with the sharks….
Hiring the Moorea Roadster….
Haha! Christian got out the water and I spotted this bad boy…. *gags*
After the best week ever, we had one final day spent bumbling around Mo’orea before our next stop… Bora Bora!
The French Polynesians are very proud of their Black Pearls, learn a little about their history here. I couldn’t leave the island without treating myself to a little one, so so beautiful…
Come back and see more from my Tahitian Adventure.
Lots of Love
